Nanni Byl, born in Hannover, Germany, took already as a gifted young lady a deep interest in music. She began to take her first music lessons at the age of 3. At the age of 5 she started singing as a member of a youth choir, later in a school and a church choir. When she was 11 years old she decided to become a professional singer. School was followed by University, where she studied Rhythmik (Hannover) and Jazz singing in Hilversum (Netherlands). Her first band engagement she had with 16. This was followed by a number of projects until in 1984 she founded the "Jazz Quartet Nanni Byl". 1995 she finally founded "Ladies NYGHT", an exquisite Jazz band consisting 3 singers, drums, bass and guitar. Nanni is a member of the teaching staff at the university of Mainz. Besides that she teaches privately and is a coach for choires and soloists in Jazz, Gospel, Pop and Latin. She is a specialist particularly in voice training, rhythmics and improvisation. As a singer the rich depth of her voice adds especially to the typical "Ladies NYGHT Sound". As a soloist she impresses her audience with her transformable voice, covering an amazing range. Of course her rhythmical talent ist the sound base of her performance, especially when she lives up her exceptional talent in improvisation. Together with her tasteful and emotional phrasing and her ladylike attractive appearance she captivates her audience from the first moment. © 2006 Nanni Byl
